ICCM is an interdisciplinary research-based center established in 2013. housed in new facilities in the College of Veterinary Medicine on the KSU main Manhattan campus, it was created to develop novel tools to quantitatively bridge in vitro experiments to in vivo endpoints and develop methods to extrapolate chemical, drug and nanomaterial behavior across multiple animal species and man.

The establishment of the ICCM at KSU has also provided a national focus on the need to innovate animal health drug development research. Building on the strengths inherent to the region's Animal health Corridor and NBAF future relocation, KSU is engaging the major players in animal health to launch the broad base Animal Health Regulathory Science Innovation Initiative (AHRSII) to serve as the national center for moving animal drug regulation into the 21st century.
