The Stem Cell Core in The Saban Research Institute at Children's Hospital Los Angeles is a shared lab and centralized support facility funded by the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine. Our main goal is to provide researchers with access to knowledge, resources, equipment and assistance working with pluripotent stem cells.
The stem cell core and shared lab offers a variety of services focused around 4 key areas:
- Cells and reagents
- Equipment and laboratory space
- Technical assistance
- Research
RESEARCH OVERVIEW
We consider all research projects, including:
- Development of pediatric disease models and building a pediatric iPSC disease bank
- Cell line production
- Differentiation of stem cells to specialized cell types
- Development of methods for genetically modifying stem cells.
