BellBrook Labs, LLC develops detection reagents and microfluidic devices that accelerate the discovery of more effective therapies for cancer and other debilitating diseases.

The company’s primary technology platform, Transcreener® is a biochemical HTS assay method based on the immunodetection of nucleotide enzyme products. These assays make it easy to screen the thousands of enzymes that generate AMP2/GMP2, GDP, UDP as part of their activity as well as a new platform for detecting methyltransferases. The Transcreener ADP2 Assay, which is the only method for direct detection of ADP, has become one of the most widely used assays for kinases, ATPases and other ATP-utilizing enzymes. It is currently used by other assay service providers, including Invitrogen and Evotec, for kinase profiling and screening.

The company’s cell-based assays are based on a proprietary iuvo™ Microconduit Array platform, which enables the use of highly miniaturized, advanced cell models and functional assays with automated liquid handling and HCA platforms. The goal of the iuvo cell-based assays is to provide a more-accurate replication of in vivo processes in drug discovery. In addition to various assay formats for viability, cell cycle, apoptosis, and migration/invasion, BellBrook Labs also offers a 3D Cell-Based Assay Service to provide Screening and Profiling in 3D Biological Matrices. Quantitative potency data includes IC50 values and magnitude of effect, while in situ molecular staining allows pathway and mechanism analysis.

We provide services in:

  • Transcreener High Throughput Screening (HTS) Assays: ADP, AMP/GMP, GDP, UDP, EPIGEN methyltransferase, RGScreen, Assay Development
  • Enzymes and Assay Kits: methyltransferase assay, RGS protein GAP assay
  • IUVO Microconduit Array Platform - cell migration, microchannel 5250, 3D ECM invasion assay, 3D cell-based assay services, 3D ICC Slide for immunostaining
