Defend your enrollment assumptions with comparable trials

Benchmark enrollment, duration, site count and country mix against completed trials like yours, then see which studies are recruiting the same patients now.

Individual plan, $249/seat/mo. Card required.

A clinical trial page: title, lead sponsor, phase and status chips, enrollment and date figures, and an overview table
A trial page (a phase 3 lung cancer study): sponsor, phase, status, enrollment and dates above the overview. Captured from production data on 2026-10-08.

The problem today

The enrollment rate in a protocol synopsis often comes from the last study the team ran or from a vendor's feasibility deck. Checking it means exporting from ClinicalTrials.gov, cleaning sponsor and site names by hand and guessing which sites have worked in the indication recently. When governance challenges the assumption, there is nothing to point to.

Why this beats what you do now

  • Comparables you can list. Search completed trials in your indication and phase, and open each one to see its enrollment, dates, countries and sites.
  • Sites by what they ran. Site and investigator history comes from registered trials, matched across the spellings each registry entry used.
  • Live competition beside your comparables. Recruiting studies that draw on the same patients sit in the same trial list as the completed ones.
  • Available this week. The Individual plan is published at $249/seat/mo and starts with a 14-day trial.

What you can answer

Pages marked free open without an account. The rest open in the product, starting with a 14-day trial.

What did comparable completed trials use for enrollment, site count and country mix?

The Trials list filters every registered study by condition, phase and status, and each trial page shows its enrollment, dates, countries and sites. Condition pages show how the trials in a disease split by phase and by start year, which is the first cut of a comparable set. 22,120 registered trials study Diabetes Mellitus or one of its sub-conditions.

Which recruiting studies will compete for the same patients?

Filter the Trials list to recruiting studies in your indication to see the competition. Each trial page links its lead sponsor to a company page and has tabs for eligibility criteria and investigators.

Which sites have run the most trials in an indication?

The Site Map plots clinical-trial sites worldwide and charts the top countries, new sites per year, active against dormant sites and the busiest sites. The map and its charts draw on the sites registered in each trial.

Which US hospitals could add capacity?

The hospital map plots every Medicare-certified US hospital from its CMS address and charts hospitals by state, ownership and size. Hospital detail covers US hospitals only.

How complete was the demographic evidence in comparable studies?

A trial page's Participant demographics card shows the baseline participants and the share who are female, and marks how many of four dimensions the sponsor reported. Only trials that post results carry it, so check the dimensions reported before comparing studies.

What enrollment rate is realistic for a design?

The Planner benchmarks a study design against comparable completed trials and returns the accrual rate, accrual duration, median enrollment and median active sites, each with an interquartile range and a percentile table. It states how many comparable trials the range rests on, and it checks the design's planned duration against the benchmarked rate. Our team switches the Planner on for an organization, and the Individual plan and its trial do not include it.

Scope

Planner outputs are ranges drawn from comparable trials and guarantee neither enrollment nor cost. Our team switches the Planner on per organization, and the Individual plan and its trial do not include it. Hospital detail covers US hospitals, and registries report demographics for only part of their studies.
