Swedish Metabolomics Centre

The Swedish Metabolomics Centre provides service in the field of metabolomics, by answering researchers’ questions using chromatographic techniques in combination with mass spectrometry. SMC offers all analytical steps from sample preparation to data processing, for both untargeted and targeted analysis of small molecules. The service platform works as a professional consultant facility and is divided into two parts; consulting and service. Different applications currently offered by SMC are listed to the right.

The consulting branch focuses on formalizing the inquiries into what is possible from an analytical chemical point of view. The service branch performs analyses efficiently according to standard operating procedures and the defined project descriptions, which are always established by the researcher and SMC. In order to be able to answer your question it is crucial for SMC to receive a detailed description of your project. If possible, send the inquiry to SMC at the planning stage of the research project or before the samples are sampled (from experience this facilitates a more effective workflow, both for you and us, in order to generate good results).
