iThemba, which means 'hope' in Zulu, is a research based drug discovery company based in Modderfontein, South Africa. The company mission is to champion world-class, drug discovery and development of new treatments for neglected infectious diseases including HIV/Aids, Malaria and Tuberculosis (TB).

iThemba funds the drug discovery activities through their chemistry services business, and are looking to attract FTE and custom synthesis projects. The company has state of the art facilities for synthesis and analysis and has validated most modern synthetic chemistry techniques in-house. The company offers the following services
