About Taros Chemicals
Taros Chemicals GmbH is located in the Dortmund Technology Parc in short distance to both, the University of Dortmund and the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Physiology. Today, Taros Chemicals employs 25 FTE in Germany.
Our in-house technical equipment which is set-up to fit all kinds of organic syntheses reads as follows. For the analytical part we operate: GCMS, HPLC-MS (also for preparative separations) and NMR. We also do have in-house all needed equipment for library and peptide syntheses as well as for autoclave jobs.
The span of the more than 6.000 projects we successfully conducted for our international customer base since 1999 covers: aromatic and hetero-aromatic compounds and aliphatic chemistry, syntheses of highly complex natural compounds in the field of sugar, peptide and steroids. Moreso, we perform heavy hydrogen and 13C labeling syntheses as well as process optimizations and customer specific R&D tasks. Target quantities range from few mg up to several 100g.
For upscaling needs we interact with our 100% owned Company Mithros Pvt. Ltd. in Hyderabad, India (located in the ICICI Knowledge Park). Target quantities there range up to several 100 kgs. Our Hyderabad facilities employ more than 60 FTE and specializes in the fulfillment of syntheses in place, libraries and synthon syntheses. In addition to that, Mithros can perform preparative HPLC separations on racemates with the integration of this aspect into projects targeting enantiomers.
