Allele Biotech, including Orbigen, an early adopter and leader in the baculovirus system, has been known for its protein production services for about 15 years. Customers typically start their projects with just a sequence, we perform gene cloning, lentivirus/retrovirus packaging if necessary, or plasmid transfection, to culturing using bacteria, yeast, insect or mammalian cells. We product proteins in medium scales ranging from a few to a few dozen liters.

Our high titer lentivirus or retrovirus packaging is based on a unique packaging system that provides much higher titer without purification.

Our recent focus is based on our patent- and publication-pending mRNA-reprogramming technology that can produce feeder-free, integration-free, and xeno-free human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) with virtually any fibroblasts in sometimes less than half the time of other methods at efficiency ten times higher. Contact us for details because each project can still vary.

VHH nanobodies have many unique advantages as demonstrated by our best selling GFP-Trap products (http://www.allelebiotech.com/GFP-Trap). We now offer custom service to produce such antibodies from llamas. These antibodies are produced in bacteria after gene isolation, extremely stable (can sustain boiling or pH2 acidity), and can be used for virtually all type of immunoisolation, detection, or in vivo applications.
