The Bogazici University Bioimaging Resource Center (BIRC, B-core) has opened in February 2011on the first floor of the Kuzey Park building. MBG is grateful to BU Rectorate and Secretary General for allocating the space and covering the costs for reconstruction of the facility. The core facility centers around a LEICA SP5-AOBS laser scanning confocal microscope which was acquired with funds from MBG-BRIDGE. In addition, existing optical equipment has been relocated to the facility, such as a LEICA-MZF stereo fluorescence microscope, a ZEISS Axioscope 2, and a new image analysis and image...
