CERETOX

p<>. CERETOX is a toxicology research, innovation and technology-transfer centre within the university sphere at the service of the public and private sectors. CERETOX arose from GRET (the consolidated Toxicology Research Group) and went on to form part of INSA-UB (the Institute for Research in Nutrition and Food Safety). It has two units: the Experimental Toxicology and Ecotoxicology unit, located at the Barcelona Science Park, and the Toxicology unit, located at the University of Barcelona’s Faculty of Pharmacy.

p<>. The units have a team of researchers from different backgrounds (biologist, pharmacists, veterinarians and biochemists) and qualified technical personnel who carry out important activity in applied research and technology transfer.

As a TECNIO agent, CERETOX is certified with a quality management system based on ISO9001 requirements and the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) model, and is audited and accredited by ACC1Ó every 2 years. CERETOX is also certified with the quality system GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) for ecotoxicity assays (veterinary sector).

p<>. CERETOX’s priority is to assess and personally plan each study in line with the needs and requirements of each case, within the following areas of expertise:
