What capabilities should be added to LMCF? How can microscopy in LMCF and at Duke be improved? What would enable new possibilities with your research? Microscopy is an ever evolving technique and several novel imaging modalities are now commercially available. At least three distinct methods to improve the resolution of fluorescence imaging and a new form of optical sectioning to complement confocal and multi-photon have been developed in academic labs over recent years.
We have several opportunities to test at Duke some of these systems and modalities in the coming months and I hope you will be able to try some of these to help assess what they can offer for you and how we should proceed. If you are interested in something below (or anything else) there is a form to use to make it easy to register your interest or opinions (or just email Sam).
