Fine Contract Research Limited is a new company set up by the Fine Industries Group. Fine Industries is a holding company which includes our sister company Fine Organics Limited (FOL). FOL has a 30 year track record in Pharmaceutical, Agrochemical and Speciality chemical manufacture to appropriate standards, be it ISO9001:2008, ISO14001:2004, cGMP (FDA inspected 2011), or ECPA compliance.

Fine Contract Research Limited operates from milligram up to 100-Kilograms, with lab operations up to 20-L to cGMP as required. Larger volumes can be met from our pilot facilities at up to 450L, and with our sister company Fine Organics Limited we can operate at the multitonne level in vessels up to 20,000L over a wide range of temperatures from cryogenics (-78degC) to high temperature (200degC). Isolation methods for solids include filter driers, and centrifuge while for liquids bulk and thin film distillation are available.

Fine Contract Research focuses on route scouting, pR&D (including design of experiments for optimisation and critical parameter studies) and manufacture with the goal of supporting the API innovators (Universities, virtual to Large Pharma, Biotech), Agrochemical and speciality/effects chemical sectors. We are very aware of your intellectual property requirements and are careful to not divulge or take our own IP.

In addition to the above we can support activities as diverse as hazard evaluation (DSC,ARC,RC-1,Carius tube), reference standard, impurity, and metabolite syntheses as well as stable isotope labelling.

With over 100 process stages operated through 2011 in the Fine Industries Group we are equipped to manufacture
controlled drugs
metabolites
reference standards
impurities
building blocks, scaffolds, and focused libraries
stable isotope manufacture of bioanalytical standards (2H,13C,15N)
hazard evaluation facilities in-house to study more difficult transformations
and an ability to manufacture from grammes to tonnes leveraging bulk materials to minimise your cost of goods be it nonGMP or to full cGMP.

A small part of our chemistry:

Acylation; Alkylation; Amination; Bromination; Carboxylation; Carbonylation; Chiral synthesis; Chlorination; Condensation; Cyanation; Dehydrogenation; Diazotisation; Distillation (bulk and thin film); Esterification; Fluorination (Balz-Schiemann); Fractionation; Friedel-Crafts reaction; Hydrogenation; Nitration; Organometallics (Heck, Grignard, etc); Oxidation; Ozonolysis; Peptide Synthesis (solution phase); Phosgenation; Phosphorylation; Photochemistry; Reduction; Separation; Sulphonation; Thiocarbonylation; Thiolation (carbon disulfide, hydrogen sulfide, and thiophosgene)
