In the Core Facility, a dedicated high-field small animal MRI is operated at a field strength of 11.7T. The MRI system is suitable for non-invasive studies on mice and rats. Studies on larger animals can be performed on a 3T research MRI. In addition, the Core Facility has a micro-CT for studies on small animals. If necessary it is possible to perform multi-modal imaging studies in cooperation with other institutions. In the Core Facility, a dedicated high-field small animal MRI is operated at a field strength of 11.7T. The MRI system is suitable for non-invasive studies on mice and rats. Studies on larger animals can be performed on a 3T research MRI. In addition, the Core Facility has a micro-CT for studies on small animals. If necessary it is possible to perform multi-modal imaging studies in cooperation with other institutions.
