Founded as a customer-focused and innovation-driven contract research organisation (CRO), SYNthesis med chem provide pre-clinical research such as computational chemistry, medicinal chemistry and organic synthesis to biotechs and pharmaceutical industry worldwide. With our Head Office located in Melbourne, Australia, and our major laboratory facility in Suzhou (75000 square feet) and in Shanghai(15000 square feet), People’s Republic of China, we offer the best of both worlds; a Western-style management service, coupled with Chinese drive and productivity. Our marketing teams are working from UK (Cambridge), AU (Melbourne), China (Suzhou), and US (San Diego) offices.

SYNthesis is committed to help its partners to cut the cost and accelerate the drug discovery by providing efficient, high-quality and cost-effective discovery chemistry service. Our senior management team is made up of western-trained PhDs and Postdocs with rich experience in drug discovery, especially in medicinal chemistry and synthetic chemistry. Together the team has more than 300 publications and 35 granted patents.

SYNthesis is proud to have an experienced and very productive group of chemists working in a variety of areas including synthetic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, computational chemistry, process chemistry and analytical chemistry. We offer a range of flexible collaborative relationships with our partners, such as FTE-based service, Risk-sharing project-based service, contract synthesis and catalogue service. We have proven experience and expertise in in silico screening of libraries and then design of target molecules, synthesis of small focussed libraries, reference compounds and metabolites, design and synthesis of a wide range of heterocyclic scaffolds. We offer a full palette of early drug discovery focussed services; seamlessly integrated and well co-ordinated through timely project management.

In last three years we have worked very closely with our customers on the following areas:
• Design and synthesis of focused libraries for hit exploration;
• Design and synthesis of close analogues for lead optimisation;
• Scaling up preparation of key intermediates and final compounds (1-100g);
• Synthesis of literature compounds and their analogues;
• Synthesis of reported drug candidates, their metabolites and impurities;
• Route optimisation of synthetic routes;
• Design and execution of new synthetic routes to new molecules.
• Draft research proposal and patent application.
