Synthelis is a French CRO specialized in the membrane protein production using cell free system from E.Coli lysate into liposomes. The cell free system allows us to produce quickly high quantity of protein without denaturation steps or having to deal with cellular biology issues such as: cytotoxicity, inclusion body, stable cell line generation delay.

Including the liposome during the production process provides the perfect environment for the membrane protein to settle in, hence enabling a physiology close conformation of the protein.

A large variety of target classes such as GPCRs, ion channel, membrane enzyme or porins have been already produced. For few of them, at least one level of functionality such as binding assays, patch clamp assay and enzymatic activity have been validated.

Application ranges from Antibody development, activity assay, protein vectorization into cells, protein therapy, vaccines
