VIRAPUR serves the research, diagnostic and vaccine communities, providing specialized viral reagents including live virus preparations and quantitation of those reagents. We also have a department which performs antiviral testing of small molecules against panels of virus. We specialize in influenza viruses, adenovirus, herpesvirses, adeno associated virus, phage, as well as many other biosafety level 2 and 3 agents. Services include the amplification and purification of viruses, creation of recombinant virus and phage, production of viral nucleic acids and quantitation of virus and nucleic acid by in vitro assays and Q-PCR. We invented the original adenovirus purification kit in 2000 and still sell an improved version of the kit on our web site as well as the original AAV purification kit.
