We provide a dedicated project manager from concept to completion and delivery of each project ensuring continuity, control, co-ordination and efficiency. We have extensive experience in the processing of clinical samples including: sputum, bronchial alveolar lavage fluid, gingival fluid, wound fluid, urine, bloods and primary cell culture to include airway (bronchial/nasal) epithelial cells grown at air-liquid interface.
ProAxsis Discovery and Development
ProAxsis is developing a range of products for the capture, detection and measurement of active protease biomarkers of disease. Our rapid and easy-to-use tests incorporate patented “ProteaseTags™”; smart molecules which trap an active protease within a complex biological sample and enable a visual readout of its presence. A number of active protease species have been extensively validated as biomarkers of disease activity in areas such as cancer and infection, in addition to respiratory diseases such as cystic fibrosis and COPD.
Our first to market product is ProteaseTag™ NE ELISA Active Neutrophil Elastase Immunoassay which meets the need for a robust assay to assist in the measurement of the active biomarker. Using our patented NE-Tag™, we have developed an activity-dependent assay which is the only one that can detect active proteases without utilising chromogenic or fluorogenic substrates.
ProteaseTag™ Active NE is available in 2 formats – standard and ultra-sensitive, providing NE detection limits ranging from 4000 – 3.5 ng/ml. The key benefits of our ProteaseTag™ Active NE Immunoassay include:
